a perfect day.
Feb. 2nd, 2008 09:43 pmInteresting only to me. But a lovely, wonderful Saturday.
Bonzo woke up at 6:15 and hung out with his dad. I slept until 9.
We spent a (cough) leisurely morning and I went to a presentation downtown. The short talk was followed by a walk to the hot chocolate store (yay!) a tour of the "Museum of Modern Ice" and some strolling around the Loop feeling all professional and important.
I drove back home, listening to Miles on booktape, and we all went to a baby shower for friends of ours. C was Superdad, holding the baby AND winning the goofy shower games, and I got to catch up with two or three friends who I haven't seen in far too long. The party was wrapping up but we were still chitchatting, so we grabbed another couple and went out to dinner at Heartland.
Dinner was yummy. I walked around with Bonzo and we looked at lights, flags, and neon signs. After we all came home, Bonzo and I played some more. He adores the mirror, loves to knock down stacked blocks, can stack a block on something else, and did some tummy time without complaint. He's a skillful baby! I got to talk to Adri, then we read Bonzo a story and wrapped him up. I finished reading Virgin by Hanne Blank (GREAT book) while he nursed to sleep.
Something is bothering Bonzo right now; we gave him Orajel and Tylenol, and he still is fussy. He's sleeping in his crib right now, and I hope he stays put. I need to clean the house a little and make meat toast for tomorrow.
