I'm still all snuffly. We finally did get to sleep in the new place last night; the cats are thrilled. They showed their joy by fighting over who got to sleep on my face. (tired grin) I actually really enjoy this, although Craig thinks I'm crazy and reacts with snarls when the cats get confused and try to sleep on his face.
The girls at work changed the locks on me last night. No, really! I came in late (I'm always the first into the office on Wednesdays) and discovered that my keys no longer work. Then I had to get on the phone and determine the cause of my keylessness, thus announcing to my supervisors and all the rest of the world that I was moseying in at 10 am instead of 9 am. Damn.
We finally got in touch with SBC yesterday and were told that while we had requested our phone service to be transferred on Monday, we hadn't said anything about our DSL service. So, of course, they shut it off. They promise they may be able to get it hooked up again by tomorrow (Thursday), which in SBC-speak means it will be Saturday at the earliest before I have a working Internet connection. Until then, I have plenty to keep me busy. But I miss my email in a big way.
One more good night of hauling furniture ought to do it, and then we'll have one real house instead of two half-houses. There's still quite a bit of cleaning and decluttering to get done. My big challenge to myself is to keep working at a similar pace to the big pre-wedding rush. There are still a thousand things to do, even if I don't have a solid deadline anymore. And working feels a lot better than loitering.
