Hello, red!

Bonzo has hit another round of huge developmental milestones, getting more fluid in walking all the time, pouring water back and forth into cups, eating with a fork tonight as if he'd been doing it forever. He's also still got that "special bond" with Mei-mei. She's all he can talk about. To wit:
Me: "You get to go see all your friends at baby school this morning! You get to see C---, and V---, and S---..."
Bonzo: "Mei-mei..."
Me: "Yes, Mei-mei will be there too. Mei-mei is your friend, isn't she?"
Him: "Mei-mei!"
Bonzo: "Yes, you and Mei-mei are friends. (to C, who's my baby school info source:) "Does Mei-mei love Bonzo as much as he loves her?"
Bonzo: (sigh) "Nooooo."
Poor kid. I guess we all have to go through it sometime.
Today at my work we had our big "ya done good" lunch for my summer project. I was actually a little disappointed in the amount of accolades and laurels thrown our way; there was an emerging issue pulling a few people from the table, and then we wrapped up early so many of the principals could go hit yet another meeting. To me, nothing would have said "ya done good" like one of our famous happy hours of yore, but this was all right. I decided to make up the difference by cutting work and going out to the spa this afternoon. I got a massage; it was heavenly and took all my troubles away. If only I could do this once a week.
I turned my hair streaks red again last week (a mercy coloring on the part of my stylist) and I like it so well on the second round I just might keep it. The ringing endorsement I got from one of my work friends sure does help.
