Bonzo turns one year old tomorrow. It's unbelievable.
Yesterday: our hero went for his first ride in the little red wagon. He took a passel of grandparents to the zoo and saw the gibbuns and the seals.
Last week: Our hero learned to pull up standing somewhere besides his crib, and had a wonderful birthday party. He even got to dip his toes in the lake (and mama burned her feet getting him in there, it was so hot!) Though his parents are stress puppies, Bonzo took the party in stride.
Last month: Bonzo was not yet crawling, but had figured out how to ride his parents like a Segway, leaning back and forth. He had just suddenly become interested in a book: "Moo, Baa, La La La!" and several more would then follow. He was just thinking about clapping his hands.
Six months ago: Bonzo had just learned to sit up, was stunned by snow, and the two of us kept remarking on what a big baby he was. I had just stopped nursing him at baby school in the middle of the day.
One year ago: I had just said goodbye to my father, was excited about some red earrings, and didn't think I was ever really going to have a baby.
What a fast year.
