I haz a staff. A staff of two, but a staff nonetheless. I am thrilled. (And a little alarmed to be steering a department with a budget of many figures. Yipes!)
When attempting to work Bonzo away from Milkies and into Sleepies last night, I got him all curled over my shoulder, and he started trying to zerbrt me. He had trouble on my shoulder (too angled) but flopped into the crook of my arm and succeeded in making big juicy fart noises on my skin. I started giggling, which only woke him up more. Adorable and infuriating, in one swift strike. That's my boy!
I am now the proud owner of this lunchbox. I cannot tell you how excited I am to take it to work tomorrow. Really.
As I was coming home on the train tonight (actually, part 1 of a 4 part commute: aagh!) I had a very hard time fitting into my seat with my lunchbox and my "briefcase" and my breastpump and my comic book. People stared at me in puzzlement and annoyance. Yes, I am taking work home. I am also taking home milk for my baby. I am also going to read a comic with a Japanese vampire gang because it came out yesterday and I refuse to sign on with Ms. Dragon of the Working Mothers Support Group. Yep, I am Large. Give me a seat and a half. It is only three p.m., for crying out loud.
