Why do we blog? Because sometimes you just really need to post.
This topic, found via Bitch Ph.D, has been chewing at my brain ever since I read it. I got all spun up and couldn't get a lick of work done. Now, I'm calm enough to go back and finish my report, although since it's after quittin' time I wonder if I should save it for tomorrow.
Other flotsam:
I kicked a pigeon in the parking lot of the grocery store yesterday, and felt like a heel for doing so. Y'see, I really enjoy watching that flap-and-hover move they do to avoid people, so I veer toward them whenever they're in my path. They usually get to about eye level, look at you coolly, float back down a few feet away and ruffle their feathers to show how offended they are. This one didn't move out of my way, just kept walking to intercept me. Finally he got underfoot, a la Doyle, and I tripped on him. I don't know whether to feel pity or annoyance towards the stupid bird.
The SNB last night was fabulous. I made rhubarb pie (from the garden!),
thistles made apple pie, and we knit and gabbed and played with the kid. Baby I seemed to like his rolling present.
I found Fray! It's been lost in my bookshelf for a couple months. Something in me seems to be getting less verbal lately and saying, "Ooh! Pictures!" And as I learn about other comics, I like this little set more and more. It's a pity they only did the eight issues.
My cousin is coming to visit this weekend. Whee!
