Strangers In Paradise

Hmm... I picked up the first book of this series when we were at the comic shop in Downstate. Did you know that Saturday was Free Comic Book Day? (Of course you did, 'cause you are all cooler than I am.) Whee! I got some free comics, and a little lego robot, and also the first book of SIP. I have read it. It is good! And I finally understand where mimazu's icon comes from. I am a little confused/alarmed by the idea of a comic that does not have monsters or superpowers in it. Unless you count Francine, whose superpower seems to be Stupid Decisions About Men. I'm torn between wanting to know what happens next and not wanting to drop $17.95 on the next complilation--and also being kind of scared of the only comic shop I've been to in Chicago. Anyone want to let me borrow the next in the series? Or recommend a good comic shop to me that is not the Graham Cracker in the Loop? Thanks!

(sigh) I still don't have time to post to the Tally Ho. I have two or three good topics which are gradually withering on the vine in my brain... however, I had a dazzling night of camraderie and socializing, so I'm not sad. I hate to disappoint my readership, however--all two of them...

Hey, do any of you know who has my Firefly DVDs? I think I loaned them to someone during The Party, and now I've no idea where they are. Any clues, please let me know...
