Mar. 9th, 2004 02:03 pmThe Cable Sweater is inching its way towards doneness. The neckband is finished but needs to be sewn down so it will be lovely and double-thick. The remaining seams (right shoulder, sleeves, and sides) need to be sewn. I think it would be wise to reinforce the shoulders with some crochet, which I do not yet know how to do, and then this puppy will need to be BLOCKED! The lumpiness is still apparent. So all this crowing about my sweater being "done"... don't believe it. The finishing has just begun.
Proper time management continues to elude me. When I try to figure out how long a task will take, I tend to leave out important steps and procrastinate, then when I realize my predicament it's too late to fix it meaningfully. I did AMAZINGLY well before our little get-together on Saturday, and helped keep Craig on track so that our place was all purty and shiny, but somehow I had convinced my sub-conscious that I could chop three pounds of veggies, prepare two pans of lasagna and two plates of brownies in one hour. HA! Fortunately, dear Stephanie and her Mr. showed up with a whole plate of brownies and I didn't end up spending the evening in the kitchen. One of our friends from Craig's grad program showed up and we had a great and yummy time. The party originally was for some out-of-town college friends, but they never showed. And in the end, it didn't matter. So it was a surprise party for everyone.
Back to WORK! Must earn money to buy more yarn!
