three minutes or less
Feb. 8th, 2009 11:09 pmHow much do I love this ad? SO MUCH. We saw this show last week, and it was stellar. I got free tickets at work and called in emergency babysitting (yay, Grammy!) because I thought the show had Jeffrey Donovan in it. As it turns out, it didn't, but by the end of the first act I was having so much fun I didn't care.
Bug is on a growth spurt. He ate pretty much constantly from 4 pm until he went to bed. Furthermore, anything's on the menu now: pea pods, avacado, grapes, more avacado, more grapes, bread, crackers, chili, yogurt, and Cheerios. Oh, the Cheerios. We are drowning in a massive tide of Cheerios. C finally gave up this evening and gave him the go-cup of Cheerios, just to get a moment of peace. He dribbled a trail around the condo as he stuffed them in his mouth.
He's also Mr. Opposite lately, entranced with saying combinations like "up! down!" "high! low!" "hot! cooooold!" "open! shut!" "in! out!" "on! off!" and on and on. We can entertain each other for twenty minutes with a lightswitch, squeezing our eyes shut and popping them open, or crouching down and then reaching up. I'm really fascinated that he knows the concept of opposite, and he's thrilled that I'm playing the game with him. He has been incredibly charming lately, with a ready giggle and a tricky sense of humor. He still feels that anything can be solved if one of us gives him a hug.
Okay, time's up. G'night.
