random Saturday facts.
Nov. 8th, 2008 02:24 pmSuper-duper cinnamon rolls, while yummy and delicious, are NOT the thing to feed to toddler-boy before expecting him to take a nap. He went down for thirty minutes, then noticed the sleep sheep had turned off, the house phone had just rang, his diaper was full, and his throat had a little tickle. There ya go! GAME OVER. No sleep 'til Bedtime.
However, we did have a great brunch this morning, and Bonzo swooned over both the Niblet and our cool waiter guy (who was eager to establish his kid cred by talking about Green Machines). Thanks so much, team Niblet, for jumping out the door to brunch! I had a great time.
We watched Dirty Dancing last night 'cause C had never seen it. He gave it a reluctant thumbs up; I didn't love it as much as I did when I was fifteen. Sigh.
I'm so glad it's the weekend; I have been done with the idea of work for awhile now, and it's so good to have some time off.

HEY, but there's a protest against prop 8 tonight in Chicago, at 5:30 at Wacker and State; do attend if you can. I'll be out in the 'burbs at that time; I wish I had a t-shirt to wear.
