That SAHM thing? I didn't mean it. The Bug stayed up all night last night, seemed to be fine when he left and had a fever by the time he hit baby school. I went to get him and began a big health insurance odyssey, which might, finally, be resolved with a well-baby checkup in a few weeks but not with a weekend appointment. I had two different doctors for him in the course of one afternoon! Then Unicare, that slimy toadstool, stepped in and nixed them to give me somebody new. Whatever. How is this better than a national health care plan? If *I* can't figure out my health insurance in order to get my baby well, and I'm part of an educated wealthy two parent family with "great" coverage, what madness does everyone ELSE have to go through?

I'm thinking of buying one of those ear-infection self-test thingies at the drugstore--anyone have experience with them? You likey? No likey? Why?

I'm running on very little sleep and might be starting with the paranoid delusions just a little. Bonzo's in his swing right now, crying softly in his sleep, but at least sleeping. I wish I were back at work.
