lay down your burdens
Mar. 11th, 2006 01:09 amAs for BSG... I'm crushed it's over for the season. I'm crushed at many of the plot twists, not the least of which are Kara and Adama's hair choices. I wish they were taking a little more time to unpack some of the strange political commentary they're making (though they seem to feel the need to keep the show's momentum going, and well they should while all their fans are screaming over a mustache). Baltar's character is being short-changed by the time jump; he comes off as slimy and hideous, when he's actually far more complex than the way he was drawn in those Thirty Bonus Minutes.
As for real life: we have a party tomorrow, but we also have sick relatives to visit. Several of my friends, on LJ and in real life, are going through hell. I wish I could do something to fix it, or at least help in a more present way than what I'm doing. This morning (when I got a bag of work materials stolen from my car) left me far more scatterbrained and anxious than I'd like to admit, and I left several important items in Chicago. All day, in response to so many different stimuli, I've wished I could do more.
