tropeI turned on the television today to find a Cubs game in the bottom of the second inning. Terrific! We are one game back and I'd really like to see us make up ground today... except the Phillies get a three-run homer, just like yesterday, and our fielding just isn't quite on, and Lilly is scuffing his feet on the mound like he's just not that into it... Wait. Lilly played yesterday. There will be no happy ending here.
This is an "encore" game.
Why does this channel insist on playing re-runs of our losses? Who wants to watch that, really? If you need a baseball fix, wouldn't you just wait for today's game? Cable has too much airtime at its disposal.
On the upside, I just saved two hours.
