tropeMy twin loves converge: Jacob at TWOP recaps the Big Damn Movie. I have a love/hate relationship with Jacob's recaps, but they are line-by-line detailed and he reads characters better than anybody I know--including some of the writers. I can't wait to finish reading his treatment of Serenity.
However, I'd love (trees be damned) to print off the text and read it in the real world; I've been too long on the computer lately, and even though I love it, and it's where all my friends are, and it stretches my intelligence and empathy in ways that RL has not lately, I know that on a very basic level the computer is not good for me. I am not a casual user. Neither can I quit cold turkey. We need some structural modifications around this corner of myself.
I've also been working hard on keeping the Tally Ho neat and tidy, as I'm always inspired to do when Wells is either actually or virtually nearby. I'm still recovering from the day-after-Christmas feeling of having some of the coolest people I know swing through town, and all the touristing that entails. The house still needs to be cleaned, but now there's no Very Special Guest to anticipate, for a while at least. And there's been random knitting, though no Great Fiber Love to take up my time. (Though I still wear the Rogue faithfully (coughmumble) times per week, our relationship is no longer the same.) And there's quite a bit going on at work that I can't communicate here, but my brain is starting to stretch in different directions, which is exciting and scary.
