The good and the scary
The good:
Cubs sweep Nationals. (I know, but our boys can always snatch defeat from victory, so I'm pleased.) Even better, they won it in extra innings, and won a close game. Both of which are a little outside their skill set.
Our favorite Thai place is still our favorite Thai place, despite being renamed and remodeled. Rama Chicken, yum.
The scary:
Apparently I left a pan on the stove this afternoon, and left it burning for hours. I didn't think I was getting the brain drift yet. I was SO WRONG. Fortunately, the place did not burn down.
A thousand-legged creature more than two inches long (I am NOT exaggerating, I am a knitter, I know from measurements) ran out of the nursery and tore across the dining room floor tonight. C vanquished it, but I am now convinced there's a nest of them in there and we'll have to fumigate before Bonzo moves in. I found a tiny cousin of his last week, but managed to convince myself it was a silverfish. I would almost rather have silverfish than these things. He was big enough to have stripes. Terrifying. (What's worse, he blends perfectly with Nimbus-colored dustbunnies. We will step up the sweeping schedule so he has no ground to go to.)
Neither good nor scary: childbirth class. Maybe I'm finally getting used to birth videos? Yay.
